This overview considers the All-Russian scientific conference with international participation that was held to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Professor Maya Ivanovna Cheremisina, the founder of the Novosibirsk Syntactic School. The conference commenced with plenary presentations detailing the scientific biography of Maya Ivanovna. Beyond the plenary sessions, the conference featured specialized sessions addressing various linguistic and cultural facets of the languages of Siberia and neighboring regions, including grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, and sociolinguistics, as well as pedagogy. The focal point of this overview lies in the contributions of the section dedicated to the typology of comparative constructions in languages of different systems. The final plenary session was dedicated to an in-depth discussion on the scientific legacy of Maya Ivanovna.
