Abstract

The results of the analysis of the articulatory settings of the mediolingual consonants in the territorial sub-dialects of Altai-Kizhi dialect on the magnetic resonance tomography data indicate significant differences in articulatory-acoustic bases of the Onguday native speakers, on the one hand, and the Ust’-Kans and Shebalins, on the other. In Ongudai sub-dialect classic mediolingual consonants pronunciation settings states, in Ust’-Kan and Shebalin the locus of the for-mation of the obstacles are forward or moved back. Ongudai settings are moderately tense, Shebalin and especially Ust’-Kan consonants are characterized by a high degree of the vocal apparatus tension. Ongudai settings are not complicated by additional articulations, in Ust’-Kan and Shebalin sub-dialects recorded pharyngealization, weak uvularization and labialization; in Shebalin, besides that, nasalization of low-noisy consonant «Qљз» revealed.
